This morning I cleared the snow off my car and headed to my spin class, hoping for the heat to come on as flurries bounced on my windshield. I knew I needed to see the light at the end of this winter tunnel, so blogging this beautiful beach engagement session today was exactly what I needed to pick up my spirits. Oh my gosh, this engagement session with Jessica & Rick was so effortless and fun, it was really hard not to love my job that day.
I met Jess, Rick & their pup Sophie right in front of the entrance to the beach in Spring Lake on a beautiful early September evening with my teal cruiser (yep, I actually ride that bike to the beach in the summer) in tow. Rick brought his surf board and Jess brought gorgeous blooms from Flowers by Katydid. To my delight, she also brought props for me to style her ring including some ribbon and a ring holder! I was able to take some ring photos while Jess changed outfits halfway through. Speaking of, I loved the simple and chic color scheme they chose in their clothing, which really popped against the sand. The golden hour was spent capturing the shots below which ended in a colorful sunset. Okay, my mood has officially improved after reliving this beautiful night and I hope yours has too! Can’t wait to be on the same beach with these two this upcoming September for their wedding day!
