Although Soo & Paul had set plans to jet off to Korea for a traditional wedding, Soo could not stop dreaming of a bohemian garden wedding in one of her favorite places on earth: the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Then the brilliant idea hit her. Why can’t I have both?! So plans were set in motion and I felt so lucky that she chose me to document such a fun day. Without the pressures of a wedding, we frolicked all over the Brooklyn Botanic one morning in August.
We were able to capture three very distinct moments that I wanted to share in three separate posts. First up, Soo & Paul dashed to meet me exactly when the gates opened. We were early for our appointment (you have to schedule a time to take photos with a permit) so this first set of images is actually right outside the front gates! The light was reflecting beautifully off the gift shop window panes in the background and since I am not one for wasting great light or in-between time, I documented Soo & Paul’s “getting ready” details right there and then. Seriously, if you have great light the magic can happen just about anywhere!
The blooms by Adore Floral complimented Soo’s Rosa Clara gown perfectly.
